3.  Facebook in increasing numbers, meaning that they will as soon be the site’s second

4.  biggest user group. Sheila, aged 59, says us, ‘I joined to see what my grandchildren are

5.  doing, as my daughter posts lots videos and photos of them. It’s a much better way to

6.  see what they’re doing than have waiting for letters and photos in the post. That’s how

7.  we did it when I was a child, but I think I’m enough lucky I get to see much more of their

8.  lives than my grandparents did itself.’ Ironically, Sheila’s grandchildren are less likely

9.  to use Facebook themselves. Every children under 17 in the UK are leaving the site  —

10.  only 2.2 million users are under 17  — but they’re not going to far from their smartphones.
